The Phantom Keys – In The Summertime

Described as “longhaired r’n’b from Spain”, it’s only the A-side that fits the formula, by way of the early(est) Kinky riffin’n’blues, Jaggeresque snarl and a harmonica solo thrown in just for the wail of it.

Nonetheless, just as Shindig-friendly is the cover of Velvet Illusions’ theme tune on the flip. Comes in a groovy picture sleeve which is at least as worth your dime as the content itself.
