The Higher State – Automatic Motion

The most Texan sounding British band among ’60 garage punk revivalists on the transglobal scene these days, have just found a perfect home for their fuzzed out jangle. From Austin’s 13 O’Clock Records comes this 7 inch taster of he forthcoming Darker By The Day LP.

After the content of the previous single (reviewed elsewhere on here) being provided by Mole, the songwriting pen’s been handed over to Mike Warren, the man behind the drum kit. The A-side is another folk rocker, by way of American-mid’60s-garage-inspired-by-the-Brit-invasion, while the quirky Seeds-like acid-punker on the B-side will make you do exactly what the title suggests (Trip On High).
