This two-girls-three-boys quintet comes from Melbourne, but they might as well be mistaken for thoroughbred Glaswegians, with most of the songs sounding as if they wouldn’t sound out of place on, for example, some of the “Teenage BMX Bandit and all-round Nice Man” Francis McDonald-related albums, be it the mentioned big-names or some of his many side projects.
This is particularly audible in Wild Rice, Hush Puppy and Super Computer, while it’s the female lead vocals of Discotheque and Crocodile distracting the attention towards some other stuff as well, such as the “lush” shoegazing sounds.
