Review from PopDiggers by Garwood Pickjon.
Even though I did have some suspicions after their debut EP last year, now it’s obvious … man, do these Spaniards LOVE those bass Maccaronies !?!? … and they combine them with the best of the late ’60s psychedelic audio delights.
Besides some more expected Beatleisms, as heard in the cover of Baby You’re A Rich Man and the title tune’s “Taxman-meets-Ravi-Shankar” concept, coloured in some “deep shades of purple (not unlike from the pallete of their natives Sidonie), there’s also No Rules For Me, takin’ the ‘Bus towards the Americanized Buffalo Springfield sounds, I Get High, which is as close as a band could get in paying a tribute to the late Small Faces, and It’s Only A Silly Man is another piece of too funky Britsike.
Also, had Deep Purple recorded a ‘Zeppelin tune at the beginning of the ’70s, it would’ve probably be called Pency, as you can hear in the imaginary cover by Magic Bus.
After the four song debut release, and now this mini album, the ‘Bus is on it’s way to take us to the long-awaited longplayer.
